Trespass to Chattels
Trespass to Chattels is when a person takes, damages, or uses the personal property of another.
The elements of trespass to chattels are:
- An intentional act
- That interferes or intermeddles, such as by dispossession, by impairment as to condition, quality, or value, or by deprivation of use for a substantial time,
- With the possessory interest of another
- In a chattel.
